Journalists contacted a source in the rocket and space industry to find out the date of the next launch of the Glonass-M satellite. It became known that the launch is scheduled for the next month from the Plesetsk cosmodrome site.
If it is accurate, the launch will take place on May 13, and the Soyuz-2.1b booster will launch the device into orbit. The Glonass-M satellite will be delivered to the territory of the cosmodrome a month before the launch.
To date, the Russian grouping of GLONASS satellites includes 26 units, 2 of which are not used for their intended purpose, but this is enough to completely cover the Earth with navigation signals.
