New Zealanders witnessed an unusual phenomenon in the sky – a brightly glowing object, the nature of which cannot be determined yet. A large number of photos and videos appeared on social networks.
An impressive view of the fireball that hit the locals originated in the sky above the territory of the Coromandel Peninsula, which is located in the northern part of New Zealand.
The frames captured how the sky penetrates at great speed the glowing ball, which resembles a comet, and leaves behind a well-marked mark. Also in the photographs, you can see how this strange body burns in the earth's atmosphere, falling apart into numerous fragments.
Internet users believe that a meteorite fragment or a large part of space debris could have frightened the New Zealanders, possibly in the form of a disabled satellite. Ufologists, on the other hand, could not help but express an assumption about aliens who might have been implicated in what happened over New Zealand.
