OneSpace, an individual company from China, debuted with the launch of OS-M rocket with Lingque 1B satellite, which was a failure.
At the very beginning of the flight, the movement of the rocket became chaotic, so the payload did not fall into orbit.
The launch was carried out at the Jiuquan Cosmodrome, located in the Gobi Desert. The sad outcome of the engineers attributed to the hitch that occurred during the work of the second stage.
On the Internet you can also find videos of this incident, published by the Chinese edition of Weibo.
It is worth noting that in case of a successful launch of the rocket, OneSpace would be the first individual company from China that managed to send a satellite into orbit.
At the same time, OneSpace is now working on a more massive version of the OS-M1 rocket. It will be able to lift cargo weighing 205 kg from the ground to an altitude of 300 km. 73 kg – for 800 km.
As is known, in 2018, China carried out the largest number of launches into orbit (36), thereby occupying the first line in the corresponding list. The second place went to the United States (30).
