NASA rolled out the main stage of the new SLS rocket. She will bring man back to the moon

NASA began transporting the main stage of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket, which is designed for manned flights into space. The stage will be delivered from New Orleans to Mississippi for testing.

SLS is planned to be used to return man to the moon in 2024. The rocket should become the most powerful in the world, it will be compared in this indicator with Saturn V, which was used for Apollo's lunar missions.

The main section will have to pass tests that simulate real flight conditions, including the activation of the engines and their operation for eight minutes – that is how much the main engines will have to operate during a real start.

After the debut launch of the finished rocket, NASA plans to immediately switch to flights with astronauts on board.

Boeing is actively involved in the development of the project. The company noted that it was out of schedule for two years, but now the work will go faster.
