NASA on the official website published another colorful photograph of atmospheric formation on the planet Jupiter. Recently, management literally replete with similar publications on its resources.
Prior to this, the US space agency was provided with another photograph, which captured a large red spot. We are talking about nothing less than the largest atmospheric vortex in the entire solar system, which is at least 40 kilometers in length. In addition, it is known that the speed inside this formation develops to an incredible 500 km / h.
In the latter case, American experts have already shown a white spot on the surface of the gas giant, which is a powerful anticyclone formed in the southern part of Jupiter.
The photograph was taken in September of this year by the Juno automatic interplanetary station, which became the second spacecraft in history that reached the orbit of Jupiter. At this point, the probe was at a distance of 40,500 to 63,000 kilometers from the upper limit of the clouds of the largest planet in our star system.
