SpaceX successfully put the first 60 Starlink satellites into orbit. The announcement of this appeared on the official page of a private American company in the social network Twitter.

In SpaceX also added that information about the future of the satellites will be regularly provided through social networks.

The satellites were delivered to orbit by the Falcon 9 launch vehicle launched from the site at Cape Canaveral in the US state of Florida, where one of the US Air Force bases is located. The start took place at 10:30 pm EST time of the United States of America (05:30 Moscow time on Fridays).

The Starlink project involves the creation of a grouping of orbiting satellites to provide global transmission of Internet traffic. In total, it is planned to launch almost 12 thousand devices, for which a total of 10 billion dollars will be spent. As part of the first phase of the project, 800 satellites will be launched, the cost of which will be about $ 3.5 billion.
