The astronaut showed what a rocket launch from space looks like

Staying aboard the International Space Station provides excellent views of the home planet, whose photographs often astronauts indulge Internet users. And this time, the commander of the current crew, Alexander Gerst, showed how the rocket launch from Earth looks from space.

On the afternoon of November 3, the Soyuz-FG carrier rocket successfully launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome site, delivering the Soyuz MS-11 transport ship to the orbit with new members of the ISS in the person of Russian Oleg Kononenko, American Ann McClain and Canadian David St. Jacques.

The process was followed from the ISS by the German cosmonaut Alexander Gerst, who made breathtaking photos of the aircraft towering above the planet. He published the resulting footage on his page on the social network Twitter.

“Congratulations to the Russian space agency Roscosmos and all international partners with the impeccable launch of the Soyuz MS-11. And welcome to space, David Saint-Jacques, Ann McClain and Oleg Kononenko! ”, – Alexander signed the publication.

Alexander Gerst, Sergey Prokopiev and Serina Aunion-Chancellor will return home in two weeks, completing the tedious semi-annual, expedition that was not without difficulties.
