The first UAE cosmonaut for the flight to the ISS chose a cornflower-blue jumpsuit

As it was reported earlier, the first ever cosmonaut flight from the United Arab Emirates to the ISS will take place. On this occasion, Hazzaa al-Mansuri ordered a cornflower-blue jumpsuit for himself, which is a rather unusual choice. This was announced by Alexander Yarov, general director of the space clothing manufacturer "Centaur-Science".

“The flight suit was chosen in cornflower color. On the left sleeve will be the flag of the UAE, on the right – the emblem of the expedition. On the chest in a frame of four colors – red, green, white and black – the name and surname of the astronaut in Russian and English will be indicated. In addition, the emblem of the UAE Space Agency and its name in Arabic script will be on the chest, ”said Alexander Yarov.

It is worth adding that the jumpsuit is also made for Sultan al-Nayyadi, a doubler of al-Mansuri. In addition, both of them will receive the “Centaur” suit, which is used during the landing, with special underwear “Bracelet”, which performs the important function of preventing blood flow from the lower limbs to the head. Three sets of underwear, shirts and trousers are also sewn.

The first UAE astronaut will fly to the International Space Station on September 25, 2019 on the Russian manned spacecraft Soyuz-MS 15, which starts from the Baikonur cosmodrome site in Kazakhstan. On board the station Hazzaa al-Mansuri will stay eight days in the company of Russian Oleg Skripochka and NASA employee Jessica Meir.
