At the Vostochny cosmodrome, they are preparing to launch the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle, which will have to put 30 satellites at once into Earth orbit. RIA Novosti employees contacted a source in the rocket and space industry, who said that these satellites were produced not only in Russia, but also in the United States of America, Germany, the Republic of South Africa, Spain and Japan.
The state corporation Roscosmos said that the stage of refueling of the Fregat upper stage has already been passed, and today, December 20, the space head will be assembled. Three days later, the spaceport workers will assemble the launch vehicle itself, the launch of which is scheduled for December 27.
The Vostochny is still a completely new cosmodrome, which entered service only a few years ago. The first start from his site took place in April 2016. Then the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle delivered three satellites into orbit. In November 2017, the Soyuz 2.1b launch vehicle sent nine spacecraft into space. The last launch was carried out on February 1, 2018.
